SRMJEEE 2018SRMJEEE 2018 Application Form has been released from 1st November 2017. SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination (SRMJEEE 2018) is a university level entrance test administrated by the SRM University. It is a common entrance test for SRM University (All Campuses). Through SRMJEEE exam, students will get admission in the B.Tech & M.Tech courses. It is mandatory to qualify the SRMEEE exam to get admission in engineering courses. SRMJEEE Application Form 2018

Aspirants can check here the major steps to fill the application form:

  • SRMJEEE application form is available through online & offline mode.
  • Candidates can get the application form from 1st November 2017.
  • First, candidates have to register themselves and then they can get the login ID and Password.
  • With this ID and Password candidates can fill the application form.
  • Upload the scanned images of colored photograph, signature & 10th & 12th mark sheets.
  • Candidates have to make the fee payment through online mode.
  • Candidates are suggested to take printout of the application form for future references.

Application Fee:

  • The application fee will be Rs. 1100/- .
  • Candidates have to make the payment via online mode or DD.
  • Demand draft will be made in favour of SRMIST, payable at Chennai.

Eligibility Criteria

Some important SRMJEE eligibility criteria for the engineering course given below:

General Eligibility:

  • Nationality: Indian, NRI and PIO & OCI card holder issued by the government of India are eligible to apply.
  • Age: For UG courses, DOB should fall between 1st July 1997 and 1st July 2002 and for PG courses, DOB should fall between 1st July 1993 and 1st July 1998.

Qualification Eligibility:

  • Qualification: Candidate must have passed 12th examination from any recognized board. Appearing candidates can also apply.
  • Subject: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics / Biology / Botany & Zoology/ Biotechnology as a major subject from any board.
  • Percentage: 60% aggregate in PCM for Kattankulathur, Ramapuram and Vadapalani campuses and 55% for NCR, Delhi campus.
  • NIOS Candidates: Candidates who have completed 10th as well as 12th in NIOS are not eligible.

Qualification Eligibility for Other Courses:

For B.Tech Biotechnology/ B.Tech Biotechnology Engineering & B.Tech Genetic Engineering courses:
  • Qualification: Candidate must have qualified Intermediate or appearing in the qualifying exam in the current academic year.
  • Subjects: The mandatory subjects are Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology or Biotechnology. For International Baccalaureate (IB) with Diploma, or A-level with Physics, chemistry, Mathematics or Biology.

SRMJEEE Exam Pattern

  • Mode: Entrance examination will be held only through online mode.
  • Language: Question paper will be published in English language.
  • Negative marking: There will be no provision for negative marking.
  • Duration: The total time provided for the whole exam is 2:30 hours.
  • Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology.
  • Question Type: Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).
  • Marking Scheme: 3 marks will be given to candidates for correct answer.

JEE Main 2018 Application has  been started from 1st December. JEE Main is the popular engineering entrance exam in India. It is conducted by CBSE for admission to B.E./B.Tech & B.Arch courses. JEE Main New Changes Introduced:

Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India has introduced some new changes in the pattern of JEE Mains. Here are the highlights:
  • newiconFor JEE Main 2018 exam, CBSE has announced to establish 258 exam centres, out of which 248 are in India and 10 outside India.
  • newiconThe board has decided to allow Diabetic students to carry sugar tablets or fruits such as banana, apple or orange and a transparent bottle of water.
  • newiconSlot Booking: From the year 2018, students will be able to book their slot for the online mode examination.
  • newiconNo weightage will be given to 12th class marks for calculating All India Rank (AIR) in JEE Main. No verification will be required for 12th class roll number.
  • In order to qualify for admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs, CFTIs, candidates must have at least 75% marks (65% for SC/ST) in higher secondary examination or must be in top 20 percentile in class 12th examination conducted by respective boards.
  • Moreover, candidates should have Aadhaar Card Number to fill the application form. Check here for more details of Requirement of Aadhaar Card.
Candidates from Meghalaya, J & K and Assam are excluded from this provision. Such candidates have to enter passport number, ration card number, bank account number or any other valid Govt. identity number to get examination centre in these states only. 



  • Candidates have to fill the JEE Main application form via online mode only.
  • No printed copy will be provided to apply for JEE Main.
  • Applications has been started from 1st December 2017.
  • To apply for JEE Main, students should have Aadhaar Number/Aadhaar Enrollment Number/Registration Number which will be provided by facilitation center.
  • In addition to filling personal & academic details, candidates also have to upload scanned images of photograph and signature in prescribed specifications.
Candidates can download the acknowledgement page as the proof of successful submission of application form.

Application Fee:

Application fee of JEE Mains 2018 will depend upon the gender of candidate, category and exam mode. Candidates can check the application fee from the below table:

  • Payment of fee can be done either through credit card/debit card or e-challan.
  • GST will also be applicable.
Candidates opting e-challan are required to make the payment in Syndicate/ICICI/Canara Bank in cash.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for appearing JEE Main 2018 is given below:

Age Criteria:

  • Date of Birth: Candidates those born on or after 1st October 1993 are eligible for writing the JEE Main examination.
  • Relaxation: 5 years relaxation shall be provided in the upper age limit of SC/ST & PWD candidates (i.e. DOB falls on or after 1st October 1988).
  • Date of Birth will be considered as mentioned in secondary education board certificate.

Qualification Criteria:

  • Qualifying Exam: It is must for the candidates to pass the 12th examination/qualifying examination with 5 subjects to be eligible for JEE Main 2018.
  • Subjects: The qualifying examination must be passed/appearing with five subjects. Candidates must have physics & mathematics as compulsory subjects.
  • No Minimum Marks: There is no minimum marks requirement in 12th examination for writing the JEE Main exam. However, candidates have to secure the passing marks.
  • Passing Year: Those who have appeared and passed the higher secondary examination in 2016 and 2017 are also eligible to apply. Moreover, candidates appearing the final examination of 12th in 2018 can also fill the JEE Main application form.
  • In case if candidate appeared the 12th examination in 2015 but not passed in 2015, passed in 2016 are also not eligible.
  • Diploma Holders: Diploma holders may also apply for JEE Main 2018 but only eligible for admission to IITs. In other words, Diploma holders will be eligible for JEE Main so that they can further apply for JEE Advanced but not eligible for admission on the basis of JEE Main scores.

Number of Attempts:

Total 3 attempts will be given for clearing the JEE Main. Attempts will be counted from the year 2017 onwards. JEE Advanced can be attempted maximum 2 times in consecutive years.

Eligibility For Admission in IITs, NITs, CFTIs:

Percentage Marks: To be eligible for admission in IITs, NITs, CFTIs, candidates should have obtained 75% marks in 12th examination or must be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th examination of respective boards. The qualifying marks for SC/ST will be 65%.

JEE Main 2018 Exam Pattern

Here, we are describing the JEE Main Exam Pattern 2018. It provides details about number of questions, subjects covered, marking scheme, etc. As JEE Main is conducted in two different papers. Check the exam structure separately for both the papers:

For JEE Main Paper-1:

  • Course: Paper-1 is conducted for admission to B.E./B.Tech courses.
  • Exam Mode: The exam mode for paper 1 will be offline (PBT) as well as online (CBT). Candidates can opt any one of the modes as per their suitability.
  • Subjects: The paper-1 will consist of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects.
  • Number of Questions: 30 questions will be asked from each subject with total of 90 questions comprising of 360 marks.
  • Type of Questions: Only objective type questions will be asked in Paper-1.
  • Language: For all exam cities, the question paper medium choice will be English & Hindi (except exam centre cities in Gujarat, Daman & Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli where choices for question paper will be English, Hindi and Gujarati). The choice for question paper should be exercised while filling up the application form.
  • Exam Duration: The time duration will be 3 hours.
  • Marking Scheme: Candidates will be provided with +4 marks for each correct answer.
  • Negative Marking: In case of wrong answer, one mark will be deducted.

For JEE Main Paper-2:

  • Course: Paper-2 is conducted for admission to B.Arch/B.Planning courses.
  • Exam Mode: The exam mode for this paper will be offline (PBT) mode.
  • Number of Questions: 30 questions will be asked in Mathematics (Part-1), 50 questions in aptitude test (Part-2) and 2 questions in drawing comprising of total 390 marks.
  • Type of Questions: The Mathematics and Aptitude test section will contain objective type questions. Drawing test will be subjective.
  • Language: For all exam cities, the question paper medium choice will be English & Hindi (except exam centre cities in Gujarat, Daman & Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli where choices for question paper will be English, Hindi and Gujarati). The choice for question paper should be exercised while filling up the application form.
  • Exam Duration: The time duration will be 3 hours.
  • Marking Scheme: Candidates will be provided with +4 marks for each correct answer.

JEE Main 2018 Syllabus

JEE MAIN 2018 SYLLABUS provides the details about topics and chapters that may asked in JEE Main paper-1 and paper-2 examination. Both the papers are for different courses, therefore, syllabus is also different for both. JEE Main syllabus for paper-1 contains important chapters from physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taught in 11th and 12th standard of CBSE, ICSE and other boards.

Candidates can check the given below guidelines to fill the WBJEE 2018 application form.
  • Application forms is allowed to fill through online mode only.
  • There is no offline mode to get the application form.
  • The application form has been started from the 19th December 2017 and continue till the 19th January 2018.
  • Candidates have to fill the details such as name, father’s name, mother’s name and date of birth for registration.
  • Candidates have to upload scanned copy of photo, signature and left-hand thumb impression as per the prescribed format.
  • Candidates can edit the application form only in the correction period.
  • Keep the photocopy of the confirmation page till the admission process.

Application Fee:

The fee which has to pay on the application form is Rs. 500/- plus bank service charges. Application fee can be paid through internet banking, credit card, debit card and in cash using Allahabad Bank e-Challan.




Eligibility Criteria

The candidates have to fulfil the eligibility criteria prescribed by the authority to apply in the WBJEE 2018.
Nationality: Candidate must be the citizen of India.
Age limit:
  • The minimum age is 17 years as on 31/12/2018.
  • A candidate born on or after 01/01/2002 is not eligible to sit in the exam.
  • There is no upper age limit to apply.
  • For marine engineering course, the upper age limit is 25 years.
Academic Qualification
  • Qualifying Exam: Candidate must have passed the 12th or equivalent examination from the recognized board.
  • Subjects: For engineering courses, Physics and Mathematics along with one of Mathematics/ Biotechnology/Biology/Computer Science/Computer Application are the compulsory subjects. Candidates must pass individually in all subjects.
  • Minimum Marks: It is necessary to score the 45% marks (40% in case of reserved categories) in the qualifying exam.
  • Must pass English with at least 30% marks.
  • Appearing Candidates: Candidates studying in 12th are also eligible to apply.

How to Apply

Candidates can fill their application form by following the procedure given below:
  • Go to the official website link (link is provided above).
  • Fill the registration details for registration such as name, father’s name, mother’s name and date of birth.
  • Fill the personal details in the application form like nationality, religion, income category, address, choice of examination zones, academic details, etc.
  • Candidates have to choose a password and security answer.
  • Review your application form and make changes if any.
  • After that, candidates will be asked for submitting the application form.
  • An application number will be generated or also sent to the candidates through email/SMS.
  • You can log out or continue to next step.
  • Upload scanned image of recent color passport size photograph (4 cm x 3 cm) (3 kb to 100 kb) & signature (4 cm x 1.5 cm) (3 kb to 30 kb). The images is in JPEG/JPG format.
  • Pay the required application fee through any one of the given modes.
  • On successful completion of all steps, take the printout of the confirmation page.
  • Keep the printout of the confirmation page till admission in the allotted institution.
